The 26th CPA Annual Convention will be held on November 2nd, 2012
at the Hartford-Windsor Marriott

Keep an eye out for the Request for Proposals (RFP), coming soon. Please consider submitting an RFP to become a presenter at the Convention. Participating as a presenter is a wonderful opportunity to share your wisdom and expertise, to network with colleagues, and to be an integral part of this annual educational event.

CPA is thrilled to announce our keynote speaker for the 2012 Convention will be Patricia E. Deegan, Ph.D. Dr. Deegan is an independent consultant who specializes in researching and lecturing on the topic of recovery and the empowerment of people diagnosed with mental illness. She is the creator of the CommonGround software program to support shared decision making in the psychopharmacology consultation. Pat is an activist in the disability rights movement and has lived her own journey of recovery after being diagnosed with schizophrenia as a teenager. She is an Adjunct Professor at Dartmouth College School of Medicine and at Boston University, Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. Pat is also a Principle Investigator with the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Duquesne University.
